In mediumship, there’s the possibility of a disconnect between the spirit and the reader. Not due to error, but the method spirit uses to convey what they want me to say such as the “red apple”.
For example, during a recent reading spirit was very accurate in describing the client’s home to me, to prove continuation in a loved one’s life. Details such as art, knick-knacks, and the layout of the home were extraordinarily accurate, but when I was told to tell the client about the red apple on the counter, the client couldn’t validate the information.
It wasn’t long before I connected the dots and realized her grandfather was describing something red and round, which the client then realized was a Tupperware lid.
We “see” with our eyes, ears, mouth, nose and sense of feeling when doing a mediumship reading. Spirit conveys an image or thought and often try to use what they know we’ll understand. So when the spirit told me “red apple” he knew I would associate it with red and round. In essence, he was correct, but inaccurate… or was that me? There’s always the possibility of a disconnect in mediumship. What someone in spirit conveys can always be misconstrued and when there’s this spiritual veil between the worlds, it takes quick thinking, and to be honest, skill and talent to be able to pick apart what spirit is actually saying. That being said, EVERY medium, even the best of the best, isn’t 100% accurate and I’m ok with that. It keeps us humble, and that humility reminds us what (and who) we do this work for.

Just this past weekend I was honored to participate in a lovely expo where I was one of the guest speakers. My topic being “Tracking” I explained what our loved ones experience between the time of their passing and when they actually arrive in heaven. The topic was well received and there were many interesting questions from the audience, but it’s the connection with those they love on the other side that they’re looking for. Hey, I get it… I’m the same way! Give me the goods already! 🙂
Throughout history, people have had a fascination with the afterlife. Maybe it’s in part due to the fact they, themselves, have had paranormal or spiritual events take place. Possibly they’re also intuitive but haven’t investigated or stretched their intuitive muscles. Whatever it is that pushes them forward in an earnest search for wisdom or another way to reach through the veil (the living-to-spirit divide), I see the constant need to once again connect with those we love.
We continue to live in a time where it’s not “normal” or even encouraged to dabble with the deceased or conjure spirit from the grave, however, it’s slowly being accepted as a possibility that some people (if not all people) are gifted with the ability to do so. With more and more people taking an active role in their own spirituality, beliefs, and religion, it’s highly probable that the average person wants to build their own unique relationship with that of the spirit world and the Divine.
Personally, I have always had the desire to build a unique relationship with God. I’ve never been comfortable with someone telling me what I must believe as I can feel the truth. I can speak, feel and hear God in my soul… and so can you!
To get back to my story (Wow, did I get off track there!), there were approximately 150 people in attendance at the lecture I was giving, each and every one of them hoping for a sliver of hope, of having their loved one reach through the veil, to receive comfort in the surety their loved one lives on. For in this yearning is the comfort in knowing we, too, will be able to continue on after our earthly journey. To continue sharing in the lives of our children and grandchildren, watching their triumphs, loves, and blessings, while leaving them spiritual signs of evidence along the way.
Every living thing, whether plant or animal, is called a sentient being. That being said, a sentient being is one that feels. Do plants have feelings? This is something I’m looking into on a scientific basis. I know this may sound strange (but maybe not to you who are in tune with nature), but we can pick up very beneficial vibratory energy from the plants and flora around us. I often refer to specific trees as “hugging trees”, and this is exactly what I’m talking about. These large, gnarly and often majestic trees, emit a special energy that I can relate to. If you are in tune with anything in nature, whether trees, flowers, plants and even rocks, you can understand what I’m talking about. If you can’t, then you might think I’m a fool, however, with a little outdoor meditative practice you, too, can begin to feel the nature energy around you.
I began writing this while I was watering a beautiful bouquet of flowers that a client had given to me. I would think that a cut bouquet wouldn’t have the ability to communicate [Read more…]
Over the past few weeks I’ve heard the phrase “What Would Jesus Do?” Whispered in my ear, I know it’s spirit getting a message across to me. Sometimes it’s when I’m alone, but more often has been when with a client during a session.
I honestly don’t believe this has anything to do with Christianity, but the believe in one’s actions, which should emulate a higher power. I suppose it could also be expressed as, “Take the Higher Ground.” However it’s given, I have promised spirit long ago to deliver to the client, exactly what is received. Even while I may not be privy to the story behind the advice, the clients are always understanding of the advice from their spiritual helpers.
We all have that inner knowing, and yet we often forget who we are and the importance others play in our lives even if we don’t have an emotional tie to them. Please consider who you are, then accept others as you would yourself. WWJD?
