“What do you do for a living?” I often get questioned. Yes, people may use this question as a conversation starter, but when you come out of the closet and admit you’re a psychic medium, they often turn their backs. Many close friends have said, “Oh really?” And then rolled their eyes when I’ve told them what I do. For many years I hid this fact from others fearing their judgment or ridicule. Then, one day, I felt as though my conviction was strong enough to withstand the onslaught of questions and judgmental attitudes. I was no longer willing to turn my back on my truth. I came out of the closet.
People can be, do, experience, and rally for just about anything their heart desires. On the whole, the human race is becoming numb to acts of violence unless they hit home. One can change their appearance inside, and out, to reflect who they feel they truly are. Not to dismiss the fact that same-sex marriages are now legal in a few states. Wow, we’ve come a long way! We’re progressing to a new understanding that if it makes one happy, and hurts no one, then it can’t be that bad. Yet, when you tell someone you’re intuitive, they look at you like you have two heads. Because someone else can’t reproduce it, they believe it to be false.
Most of us have experienced some form of phenomenon that we can’t explain. So why do so many intuitive people not publicly admit to being who they are? The answer is fear – plain and simple. It’s normal to want to be accepted, but at what cost? To hide the real self is to disown who you were born to be – who God created you to be.
Are only the most holy of humans, such as monks, priests, rabbi’s, etc, able to converse with the higher spiritual beings? Apparently so, many people believe. God must have saved this opportunity, and gift, for only “special” people!
This belief is totally false! Everyone has the ability to speak with the deity of his or her choice. I’m not talking about praying to a higher source – that’s you talking to someone, or something, “out there”. I’m talking about an actual conversation between two spiritual beings – you and your maker, your angels, spiritual guides, and your ancestors. You speak, and then spirit speaks back to you – a normal conversation.
If there’s any part of you hidden from society, your partner, or even yourself, I urge you to come out of the closet. You were created in the likeness of God, and SHE doesn’t make mistakes!
