Today’s classes in Lily Dale, NY were Ghost Investigation in Battlefields as well as Ghost Investigation in Gettysburg.
Mark Nesbitt and Charles Emmons, instructors of these courses, were very knowledgeable in their fields. Owner of “Ghosts of Fredericksburg Tours” and “Ghosts of Gettysburg Tours”, Mark Nesbitt presented why ghosts are present on battlefields – and the reasons are probably NOT what you expect. He also presented how to conduct a paranormal investigation. Quite impelling, to say the least, was the fact that these men were professional people who have given up their very good jobs to investigate these phenomenon and teach their findings so that others may do the same.
It was taught that the fewer number of people involved in the investigation the better. A questioner (or director of the investigation), a medium or psychic and someone who records EVP’s. An optional person is someone who investigates the home taking notes, prior to the actual investigation with the medium who is relaying the phenomenon that is experienced.
Actually, both men made it sound as if running an investigation was pretty do-able. If you have the necessary equipment anyone can do a paranormal investigation. Without the “right” tools, the possibility for false positives is extremely high and your credibility is always being questioned. Don’t put yourself at risk for false positives – your reputation is at stake.
