With all that’s going on in the world, I find myself pondering GMichigan Psychic Medium Lisa Bousson - Gods Lemonsod’s grand plan. As I write this, Hurricane Irma is about to hit the Florida coast. In its wake are entire islands completely destroyed and I pray that the human casualties are low given the amount of preparation time many have had.

I have family trying to head north of out of Florida, luckily they’re retired and have the opportunity and connections well north of the impending hurricane pathway. For the thousands who are fleeing the state, there are many who must remain, like my older sibling who is an administrator in a hospital. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and I believe this to be true. Don’t we all look at someone’s eyes to gauge whether they’re happy, sad, confused, fearful or surprised, etc? Of course, we do, and not one of us is immune to each one of these emotions at certain times in our lives.

It’s no surprise I see many different people in my work and each person comes with the expression of sadness in their eyes. Their demeanor and outward appearance may seem fine to someone who only sees the surface, but I want them to know that I see them… really see them.

Delays: God’s Way of Saying Hold Your Horses!

As I sit in the airport on a flight delay, after bemoaning the fact that I need to sit around for what seems one million hours, I think back…

I’ve been planning this trip for months now. I’m studying with a lovely British Medium, Mavis Pittilla, who is an older woman teaching out of the Arthur Findley College in Stansted, England. It’s quite an odd thing… Whenever I seek a teacher or mentor, invariably they become available to me. Mavis Pittilla is actually coming to the states, and while traveling to England would be great, it’s also nice her being closer.

Here’s the kicker… This morning as I was leaving the driveway I felt what I call the “heeby-jeebies”. I mentally went over my list of must haves and I knew my pre-trip planning was in order. So what was it that made me feel ill at ease? I have to admit that I listen to this sixth sense that comes over me (as you should too!). You know, that gut instinct you get when something just doesn’t sit right? So, by the time I was about 5 miles from my home, I began to feel comfortable.

Was I intuiting the 6-hour delay or could it have been that the flight cancellation actually saved all those who would have been on board? As mammals, we all possess that gut instinct, sixth sense or clairsentience. No matter what you call it, I guarantee that it’s ALWAYS correct – 100% of the time!

So, as I sit here eating a nice salad at Andiamo’s in the airport, I wonder how many lives were saved. How many people will live to see another day with their loved ones on the other end of their journey, and the direction God chooses to send us. Well, it ended up that I spent a total of twelve hours in the airport for nothing. Two flights, innumerable delays, all ended in flight cancellations. How did I spend my time? Well, I now know that the MacNamara terminal of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport is pretty darn cool! My normal routine is to get to the airport, wait for boarding and off I go! Pretty normal, right? However, when was the last time YOU had an excursion through the airport? On my trek through the maze of animals – er, people, I found that there’s a lovely health food deli/store called Plum Market that sells all sorts of yummy goodies. There’s also a great service provider, Be Relax, that offers spa services. I’m talking mani/pedi, partial and full body massages, etc. Seriously, what better way to while away the hours during a flight delay? I simply HAD to get a pedi – how could I resist?

After a long day, I’m returning to the airport tomorrow in the hopes I finally get to my destination. If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. After all, it’s up to us to make the most of an unexpected situation or delay, whether we see it as an inconvenience, a reprieve or a much-needed rest. In any of these options we must always know that we’re where we’re supposed to be, experiencing what we’re supposed to experience, and in all things, we’re to learn, grow and be grateful. Quite possibly, the delays in your life are God’s way of saying, “Hold Your Horses!”

Focus on Gratitude

 

Because of all the preparation involved, during the Thanksgiving season we focus on the foods and the menus that need to be prepared. We focus on the house that needs to be cleaned or repaired. Our attention goes to the travel that may need to be scheduled or who’s going where, and of course we focus on those near and dear who we will get to spend time with or miss.

Most of us ponder the true heartfelt message behind the holiday, which is the coming together with friends and loved ones in a harmonious manner while giving thanks for all our blessings – whether they are material, spiritual, mental or physical. Too often we focus on  the negativity surrounding us. We focus on the negativity because it makes us uncomfortable, like a nasty toothache. We dwell upon it and think about it constantly, trying to find a solution. What we often don’t realize is that thoughts are things. Thoughts can direct our reality. That being said, do you really want to focus on the negativity – or the toothache?

Compassion: The Loss of a Child

 

 

Michigan Psychic Medium, Lisa Bousson, Compassion and the Loss of a Child

The enormity of pain parents feel when their child passes away is unfathomable for those of us who haven’t experienced such a tragic and untimely loss. In my work as a medium I often feel the agony the family feels, and I fight to contain my emotions. Please understand that through experience, and learning to control these emotions, doesn’t mean I’m uncaring, or that I don’t have empathy. The truth couldn’t be furthest from this!

I try to remain in control of myself so that I can continue to serve both spirit and you. What good would I be to anyone if I were to allow myself to fall into a puddle of tears? Repressing the emotions does take its toll, however. I feel drained, lethargic, mentally tapped out, and often schedule breaks in my schedule for “Me” days. Me days where I’m not intentionally connecting to the world of spirit because I need the mental break, days when I take care of my emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health.

So, if you know of someone who has lost a child, please empathize with them, but don’t burden them with feeling the need to console YOU. Just be the open door they may need. Allow them to shed their tears openly. Listen with a compassionate year, and open your heart to send them your love.
