When something or someone comes along that stops us in our tracks, maybe that’s where we were supposed to be all along! This is forced stagnation.
After working the beginning of the week while in DE I’ve been reflecting on what it is that I want my life to be like. During this time I’ve helped a dear friend with her mother’s funeral, and in general, just tried to be as helpful as possible.
Mother Nature is telling me, however, to slow down. A canceled week-long class, 3-4″ of snow and a lower back that’s screaming at me has me sitting, relaxing, and reflecting on what it is that I want in my life.
I know a daily meditation practice will enable me to return to my active self, but I must remember why I’ve been put in this place to begin with. You see, THIS is what I’m writing this post about…
When we’re under attack, so-to-speak, we vow to make the changes we know are necessary but were too busy or too stubborn to change. The important thing is to continue doing what your body or spirit is encouraging you to do in the first place – for the long haul.
Deciding what we want for our life is a powerful act of self-awareness and intention. It requires us to look inward and go deep, listen to our true desires, and align our choices with our values and passions. Clarity comes when we embrace our dreams without fear or limitation, allowing ourselves to envision the life that brings us joy, fulfillment, and purpose. While the path may not always be clear, taking the time to reflect, set goals, and trust our intuition empowers us to create a life that truly resonates with who we are. Yes, at times it seems we simply need to slow down or completely shut down, and that’s ok, too. It may simply be time given to you to regroup and course correct.
