All too often I have clients that come to me asking one question… “What am I supposed to be doing with my life?” It may come as a surprise to you, but there’s no pat answer. And while I truly believe that this is why many are stuck in the rut of their lives, they stay grounded to the trap that they led themselves into.
Invariably, spirit leads them to their ultimate desire. This is something that they are passionate about, absolutely love, and seems like a dream job. However, very often people feel that they need to completely stop the present job or what they’re doing currently to begin the new leg of their journey. I don’t believe that this is so. I fully believe that they can work, pay their bills, and be financially comfortable while moving into their life’s passion.
When people ask me where they should be living, what their profession should be, and ask for a timeline, I give them the information I received from spirit. However, what many don’t realize is that spirit gives them the guidance that they can see from this point forward – where things stand from today. Your future actions, words and deeds will determine the final destination on your journey. Therefore, the end result may be different than what was described when the client first met me.
Our passion evolves as we learn and grow toward it. We absorb little idiosyncrasies along our way, which may steer us to a parallel goal. In this I always suggest that the client take their blinders off, and remain open to all possibilities pertaining to this new-found love. As you learn and grow, you become curious and want to soak up all that there is to know about your chosen pathway, and this is what may steer you to a more wonderful, grander experience.
So how do you go about making your passion a reality?
- Create a simple outline pertaining to everything you can think of concerning where your passion is leading you.
- Investigate possible ways to enhance your knowledge of the subject.
- Determine whether this is a whim or something that you could really make a go of if you had put your distractions aside.
- Figure how you can move forward toward your goal while maintaining your present job or income.
- Determine the need and the value of what you have to offer and how you would market the skill.
- Begin!
No two people will receive the same answer from spirit or their higher intuition, but it’s often very similar. It simply the drive of the person that can make their dream a reality. If you want it bad enough you CAN achieve it.
