With the spring and summer schedule coming up quickly, I wanted to pass along the benefits of regular meditative practice. Let’s face it, our schedules are often hectic, but in the summer it seems it’s even more so. Eke out a few minutes to focus on your soul – that’s all it takes – and you’re worth it!
Meditation as Therapy
Meditation as therapy has been around for centuries, but it’s only recently that it’s gained popularity in the Western world. While there are many different types of meditation, the basic premise is the same: to focus the mind on one thing, whether it be a mantra, a certain word or phrase, or the breath. The benefits of meditation are well documented, and there are now many studies that show the positive effects of meditation on the mind and body. Meditation has been shown to reduce stress, improve mental clarity and focus, and boost the immune system. It can also help to ease anxiety, depression, and pain. If you’re interested in learning how to meditate, as it can be difficult to know where to start this well-structured course will gradually introduce you to different meditation techniques. If you’re looking for a way to reduce stress, improve your mental health, and boost your overall well-being, then I would highly recommend giving meditation a try.
Connect to your Soul
Meditation has been shown to be an effective form of therapy for many mental and physical health issues. When you meditate, you focus your attention and quiet your mind, which allows you to connect to your inner thoughts and feelings. This can be a powerful way to explore your thoughts and emotions and can help you to better understand and cope with them. When you connect to your soul through meditation, you can access a deep well of wisdom and peace. This can help you to feel more connected to yourself and the world around you. It can also help you to find clarity and direction in your life. If you have been feeling lost or disconnected, meditation can be a powerful way to reconnect with yourself and your purpose.
Increase Concentration
Meditation has been shown to be an effective therapy for increasing concentration. Regular practice of meditation can help to train the mind to focus and become more present. In turn, this can lead to increased productivity, creativity, and decreased stress levels. When we meditate, we are focusing on our breath or a mantra while allowing thoughts to come and go without judgment. This allows us to become more aware of our thoughts and feelings and develop a greater ability to control them. Over time, we can learn to focus our attention on what we want, rather than be controlled by our thoughts.
Release Stressors
Stress is a normal part of life. It can be caused by different things like work, school, and relationships. Many people deal with stress by using unhealthy coping mechanisms like smoking or drinking. Others may try to cope by using food as a comfort. However, these unhealthy coping mechanisms can actually make stress worse. Meditation is a healthy way to deal with stress. It is a form of mindfulness that can help you to be more aware of your thoughts and feelings. Meditation can help you to focus on the present moment and let go of stressors from the past or future.
Connect with one of your Spirit Guides
When you close your eyes and clear your mind, what do you see? If you’re like most people, you probably see nothing but darkness. But if you’re open to the idea of spirit guides, you may find that they’re there waiting for you. Spirit guides are beings of light and love that are always with us, even if we can’t see them. They’re there to help us through tough times and offer us guidance when we need it most. In the upcoming Meditation course, you’ll be meeting and focusing on your Alchemist Spirit Guide… the Guide that helps you with your health and healing of body, mind, and spirit.
In conclusion, while more research is needed to determine the efficacy of meditation as a therapy, it appears that meditation can be a helpful tool for managing stress and anxiety. Meditation may also help to improve sleep quality and decrease pain sensations. Overall, meditation appears to be a promising therapy with few side effects.
Learning to use your clairsentience (your gut instincts) to help you when you feel something is coming, but you’re not certain what “it” is.

As I sit writing this monthly newsletter the shock of the last few days has lessened its grip on me, but it’ll always be there. You see, inequality has always been a pet peeve of mine. In thinking about this I wonder where it all began, was there an event that shaped my hard and fast rules regarding the equality of man, woman, and child? Was there something in one of my past lives that soured me to gender or racial bias? When I was in seminary I truly learned that we are all one. I learned the embodiment of God meant that each and every one of us was a spark of the divine. And then if the spark of the divine was in us, and was us, how could anything that is the divine be anything less than equal to another?
I know many of you (myself included) are outraged at the turn of events, and while there are things one can do in an attempt to change things, it’s often felt that we are simply one person, one voice. Yes, one voice that can speak as loud as any another, and with other “one voices” the impact can be resounding.
Initially, I also have a feeling of helplessness as if I alone cant change the world. Well, maybe I can’t affect change on a global or national scale, but I can effect change in my world, and if enough of us do this we can bring about the change we’re seeking on a larger scale.
My original thinking in writing this newsletter was to try to help you figure out how you can make a difference today, not months or years from now. A way for you to bring that sense of “right order” to your own life even when it seems all hell is breaking loose in the world. Through this in no way am I asking you to ignore what’s going on, but to help you find a way to bring joy and meaning to your life right now when it seems our world is going to hell and a handbasket.
July 15, 2022, is National Give Something Away Day. Don’t worry, I didn’t know it was a thing either. NGSAD, is traditionally used for giving away things we no longer find useful but may be perfect for someone else. As someone who is trying to downsize I think this is awesome… and it doesn’t involve holding a garage sale! Now, granted, there are a lot of other ways to help others in need, and it shouldn’t only happen because someone decided that we need a national day to bless others. Nor should this act of benevolence be confined to one simple day!
I challenge you with the task of finding ways you can help others in need. Whether it’s through donation, your time, a kind word, or a smile, making our world (as small as it may seem) a more joyous, loving, and kind place to be. Using your strength, added to the strength of others, will bring about change in the world through kindness, grace, and love.
So, while you’re focusing on the new women’s rights laws taking shape here in the US, know that you also have the ability to intentionally lessen your stress and bring about global change through your small acts of kindness. The energy of these acts can be made manifest in others around the globe… at least that is my wish. Don’t be fooled into thinking you (one person) can’t make a change because you’re more powerful than you will ever know!
