Just watched a commercial saying that a golf ball doesn’t have control over where it lays, nor does it know where to go without our guidance. This reminds me of our spiritual path. We pull out our best moves hoping that we accomplish what we desire, but it’s our actions that dictate our landing place. Some go through life just hoping to move forward on their path, but believe they have no control over their final resting place. However, there are others that knowingly work at their life, maneuvering their soul path in a manner that not only benefits them, but others as well.
For the most part, you are in control of your life. Before you’re born you determine which aspects of your life you would choose to work on – these will be your karmic lessons. In life you aim, work toward and accomplish your goals, hopefully to the best of your ability. If you don’t succeed you then continue on with the lesson. You work at the placement of the golf ball, perfecting the landing place… even if it takes many lifetimes. It’s just like taking a mulligan in the game of golf… it’s a do-over!
The main reason that I believe we have a modicum of control is because God gives each of us free will. Yes, we may be destined for a certain pathway because of our soul’s purpose, but the choices we make (our free will) will determine where, when and how we get there. Fore!
