Just this past weekend I was honored to participate in a lovely expo where I was one of the guest speakers. My topic being “Tracking” I explained what our loved ones experience between the time of their passing and when they actually arrive in heaven. The topic was well received and there were many interesting questions from the audience, but it’s the connection with those they love on the other side that they’re looking for. Hey, I get it… I’m the same way! Give me the goods already! 🙂

Throughout history, people have had a fascination with the afterlife. Maybe it’s in part due to the fact they, themselves, have had paranormal or spiritual events take place. Possibly they’re also intuitive but haven’t investigated or stretched their intuitive muscles. Whatever it is that pushes them forward in an earnest search for wisdom or another way to reach through the veil (the living-to-spirit divide), I see the constant need to once again connect with those we love.

We continue to live in a time where it’s not “normal” or even encouraged to dabble with the deceased or conjure spirit from the grave, however, it’s slowly being accepted as a possibility that some people (if not all people) are gifted with the ability to do so. With more and more people taking an active role in their own spirituality, beliefs, and religion, it’s highly probable that the average person wants to build their own unique relationship with that of the spirit world and the Divine.

Personally, I have always had the desire to build a unique relationship with God. I’ve never been comfortable with someone telling me what I must believe as I can feel the truth. I can speak, feel and hear God in my soul… and so can you!

To get back to my story (Wow, did I get off track there!), there were approximately 150 people in attendance at the lecture I was giving, each and every one of them hoping for a sliver of hope, of having their loved one reach through the veil, to receive comfort in the surety their loved one lives on. For in this yearning is the comfort in knowing we, too, will be able to continue on after our earthly journey. To continue sharing in the lives of our children and grandchildren, watching their triumphs, loves, and blessings, while leaving them spiritual signs of evidence along the way.

I can’t tell you where the yearning came from, or where my love of Ireland originated. But I can tell you that the desire to go there has always been strong in my life. Up until one year ago, I didn’t even know I was part Irish. Like many of you, I consider myself a mutt, and I still do. I just added Irish to the ancestry mix, thanks to DNA testing.

So where does this “home” feeling originate from if you’ve never visited that location? I believe it would be logical to assume that there was past life experience. There are quite a few places that I have been throughout my life that have held the energy of a familiar home-like place. For me (in the states anyway) those locations are Kentucky, the western side of New York state, and Florida. It’s a déjà vu type of experience. A knowingness, a recognition, the absolute certainty that you have been in the location before even when in this lifetime you have not. I’m sure many of you understand what I’m talking about, and do recognize that it is such an odd sensation.

When I talk about Ireland I often sense the wonder and fantasy that surrounds this beautiful land. And of course, the thought of whimsical, mystical and mysterious leprechauns come to mind. Many believe leprechauns to be a fae folk, a fairytale or the meanderings of an imaginative child. My question is, does it matter what a leprechaun truly is? [Read more…]

The Peaceful Void of Dementia

 

Michigan Psychic Medium Lisa Bousson Peaceful VoidWhether it’s bipolar, depression, dementia or any other horrible mental disease, I don’t believe (at least in my findings) that many families can miss the boat.

Do you remember that new baby doll smell? I smelled it this morning when I was in the shower (A really good time for spirit communication by the way). I tuned in and received information from an older woman with severe dementia. She was holding a baby doll in her arms as if this is something she might have done when she was still alive. I received a message from her that after a brief horror of lucidity comes the blessed void of dementia once again.

Many years prior to her passing we went through this scenario with my own mother and remember the look of absolute horror because with the lucidity comes the momentary realization of what has happened to their mind and bodies. Peace, then, returns with the mental void. On a spiritual level, this makes sense because in that void we are truly our spiritual being, at one with the absolute heart and mind of God. In this space, we find peace, love, and comfort once again. In this space, we are our subconscious mind – the mind that is spirit-based and comforted by the emptiness. We are at peace with the world of the divine, and at peace with the void. Know that while it may seem our loved ones aren’t “in there” they’re truly in a mental, emotional and spiritual place where they’re at one with the divine being watched over and taking care of by their angels, ancestors, spirit guides and God.

Focus on Gratitude

 

Because of all the preparation involved, during the Thanksgiving season we focus on the foods and the menus that need to be prepared. We focus on the house that needs to be cleaned or repaired. Our attention goes to the travel that may need to be scheduled or who’s going where, and of course we focus on those near and dear who we will get to spend time with or miss.

Most of us ponder the true heartfelt message behind the holiday, which is the coming together with friends and loved ones in a harmonious manner while giving thanks for all our blessings – whether they are material, spiritual, mental or physical. Too often we focus on  the negativity surrounding us. We focus on the negativity because it makes us uncomfortable, like a nasty toothache. We dwell upon it and think about it constantly, trying to find a solution. What we often don’t realize is that thoughts are things. Thoughts can direct our reality. That being said, do you really want to focus on the negativity – or the toothache?
